Tuesday, August 30, 2:00 – 3:30pm (Eastern)

“This webinar will provide participants with the most comprehensive data on solid waste collection emissions collected during actual operations, as well as insight into the vehicle factors that most influence emissions for solid waste collection.”
~ Dr. Shannon Bartelt-Hunt P.E.

This webinar is designed to present information collected  through an EREF-funded project on emissions from solid waste collection vehicles. Participants will gain an understanding of emissions and fuel efficiency from conventional and CNG-fueled solid waste collection vehicles as well as insights into the factors that influence emission rates.

Upon completion of this webinar, the attendee will be able to:

  • Understand the research study design and methodology, how the date was collected and the variables evaluated;
  • Describe the influence of fuel type on emissions and fuel efficiency from solid waste vehicles;
  • Understand the impact of variables such as fuel type and vehicle and engine type on emissions; and
  • Compare emissions from solid waste collection relative to other MSW disposal-related emissions.

Presented by:

Dr. Shannon Bartelt-Hunt
