About the Municipal Solid Waste Management in the U.S.: 2010 & 2013 Report
Current estimates of MSW generation, recovery and disposal in the U.S. vary greatly. EREF has used a facility-based approach in each state to investigate the amount of MSW materials managed in 2010 and 2013, and the portion managed through landfill, waste-to-energy, composting, recycling and anaerobic digestion facilities. National, regional, and state trends in MSW management at all endpoints are assessed, including the import and export of MSW across state boundaries.
