Understanding the Injury and Fatality Risks Associated with Solid Waste Collection
Despite significant safety efforts, worker fatalities in waste collection, transport, and processing remain unacceptably high. This research analyzes 20 years of fatality data to identify contributing factors, compare industry safety trends, and develop a comprehensive database to inform best management practices. This research will help improve workplace safety by providing actionable insights to reduce fatalities in the solid waste industry.
